Quick video showing you a method I use to dye PVC fittings to be used on a 6 Gallon Nano DIY sump/refugium: http://www.nano-reef.com/topic/347813-diy-6-gallon-pob-nano-sumpfilterrefugium-for-mr-aqua-12g. This was just a quick experiment, I’d prefer black PVC against a black background aquarium for the stealth look. I know there are black PVC you can order online but it’s a lot more convenient to just grab what you need at local home improvement store. The cool thing is you could dye it with any color you want, coraline purple or blue if you have blue back ground tank for example.
I will be using dyed fittings in my DIY sump/refugium build so I will do another update video regarding reef safe once it’s been running for a while.
It’s been running for over a year without any issue so I can def say it’s totally REEF SAFE once fully cured!
If you like my video, please like and subscribe for updates. Thank you.
