Every freshwater, dwarf shrimp enthusiast will eventually need to remove shrimp from their tank–be it to cull the population for selective breeding, selling, giving some to friends, etc.–
IMHO, this shrimp trap is a better alternative to trying to net your shrimp. It is easy to make out of any small plastic bottle and literally takes a few seconds. It is very effective, as can be seen in the video. Just don’t leave the trap in the tank for too long; the shrimp will exhaust themselves trying to escape and the low water circulation will eventually result in casualties.
