A short video showing how easy it is to commission Triton’s Safeguard thermostatic electric shower, which is approved to the BEAB Care Mark and endorsed by the RNIB.
Hi. In this video we’re going to take a close look at the commissioning process for the Triton Safeguard and the Triton T150Z thermostatic shower.
Unlike other showers on the market, the whole process is quick and easy to do. In fact, it’s all over in just a few minutes.
Whichever shower you’re commissioning, you’ll be in safe hands.
Triton’s Safeguard unit brings total peace of mind to the bathrooms of the visually impaired, the physically disabled and the elderly.
Its factory set temperature stop guarantees that it leaves Triton approved to the BEAB Care Mark.
And as well as meeting the exacting requirements of the BEAB Care Mark, it is also endorsed by the RNIB.
The T150Z, on the other hand, brings peace of mind to all the family. Thermostatically controlled, it too has been awarded the BEAB Care Mark.
Ready to see how easy it is to commission a Triton? Let’s put it to the test.
With the water supply turned on, make sure that the ribbon cable is not plugged into the PCB and that the removable side plate is in place.
This side plate allows ease of access to the Inlet fitting when installing.
Temporarily fit the cover to the unit.
Guide the cover into position so that the temperature control spindle locates correctly.
Secure the cover in place with the three retaining screws.
Making sure the supplied sealing washer is in place fit the flexible hose to the shower. Do not fit the showerhead at this stage.
Switch on the electricity supply to the shower at the double pole isolating switch.
Wait until water starts to flow from the flexible hose.
It takes about thirty seconds for a smooth flow of water to be obtained.
Once the flushing out has been completed, switch off the electricity supply to the shower to stop the flow of water.
All that’s left to do with the Safeguard is remove the cover and connect the ribbon cable to the unit.
Line up the temperature lever with the temperature valve and re-fit the cover with the three screws.
That’s it. Commissioning done in less than 2 minutes.
And remember, unlike other showers, there’s no need to set the temperature for the Safeguard — because it’s already factory set to comply with the BEAB Care Mark.
That means you can fit and forget — knowing that your installation is BEAB approved.
Also, as the Safeguard maximum temperature stop can’t be tampered with externally — there’s no danger of anyone being able to change it without permission.
Of course, if you want to change the temperature stop that’s easy to do as well.
Just remove the locking screw from the mechanism and rotate it to the preferred setting point to align with the screw fixing point.
Insert the locking screw through the temperature setting label and lock into place
Well, you don’t need me to tell you what time equals. And, as you can see, Safeguard will save you plenty of that.

Flint Water Crisis Q & A: What is an aerator? Why does it matter? How do I clean it?
What is an aerator? An aerator is a small, round screen that is attached to the end of a faucet.
Why is it important to clean your aerator? Flint residents can reduce lead in their drinking water by cleaning their aerators once a week.
Here are the basics in three easy steps:
Step 1: Unscrew the aerator. Remember how the pieces come off so you can put them back together.
Step 2: Remove the screen and rinse out the dirt. You just need water, but soaking it in vinegar and scrubbing may make it easier to clean.
Step 3: If you had to take the aerator apart when you removed it, put it back together. Screw it back on.
