This is a fun portable shower! The hose is a pretty decent length and so far and reach everything I need it to. This would be great for camping or washing off after going to the beach, or any number of other places I wouldn’t want to get caught gross and dirty before getting in my car.
The water pressure was decent. It has to balance both having enough water pressure to do some good, but not pumping too much volume of water to where it pumps all the water out of a bucket too quickly. I think this pump strikes a decent balance!
For set up, I found the instructions easy to understand and very helpful with set-up. The is a washer that needs to be put in the shower head. The hose needs to be attached to the pump, as well. The easiest way to do this is to unscrew the plastic piece on the pump and fit the hose through. Then, on the inside put the grommet on. Screw the pump back together and put the hose on the pump and secure the hose with the grommet. Voila! It’s ready to use!
With any electrical wires, make sure to set up the cord with a drip loop where the lowest point is before any important electrical parts- like the switch. This protects the electronic components of the unit. With this in mind, I found this portable shower fun and exciting. I am excited to use this and have running water in camp when I normally wouldn’t!
Before you start remodeling your bathroom, few things you need to think about, such as:
What are the wrong things with your current bathroom?
It’s small and cramped
When the door opens, it intrudes on the internal space
and shower is confined and over the bath
There isn’t enough bench space
It needs a new hot water service
There isn’t enough cupboard/storage space
It’s dark, cold, damp or closed in
It’s hard to keep surfaces and corners clean
It needs to cater more for a person who has limited mobility
It no longer provides for your family’s needs, wants and lifestyle.
What do you want out of your new bathroom?
Some Of Examples include:
Privacy and space for relaxing and unwinding
An uncluttered bathroom with plenty of storage for toiletries and cosmetics
Separate ‘his’ and hers’ spaces or a multiuser space
Dual access, such as a powder room from the hallway and as an en-suite from the bedroom
The toilet in its own cubicle or room
A room filled with natural light and warmth
An integrated laundry.
What are your must-have features?
Separate out your must-have features from your ‘nice-to-haves’, which you’ll incorporate if your budget allows. You may consider some of the following as essentials:
Relocating or concealing electrical outlets
Better lighting in the vanity area
Incorporating a bigger window and/or relocating the entrance door
Cavity sliding doors instead of hinged opening doors
Separating the shower and the bathtub
New basin or twin basins that can be wall/top/under-mounted, recessed or integrated

More efficient extractor fans and ventilation
Better storage for toiletries, towels, laundry, waste bin, etc.
New style and mounting of shower-heads and tap-ware
Extending mirrors, using a new style or adding storage behind them
Free-standing or built-in bathtub
Concealed-cistern toilet or wall-faced toilet
Incorporating handrails in the shower, bath or toilet areas
New treatments for the floor and walls
More luxurious updates could include:
Wall tiles extending to the ceiling
Heated towel rails
Wet room with a bathtub and shower
Shower wall niche and recessed wall storage units
Step down sunken bathtub or free-standing deep soaker bathtub
Dual-function rail shower with a hand-held shower-head and overhead rain shower
Incorporating technology in the vanity unit, e.g. LCD TV screen, MP3 docking station and speakers, LED lights and touch-pads
Feature or recessed lighting.
What is a realistic time-line?
A bathroom remodeling can take anywhere from 3-8 weeks or more to complete and depending on what you’re having done, could include the following stages:
2-3 weeks or more for the design stage and manufacture of custom joinery, etc.
1-3 days for demolition work
3-4 weeks for construction work
1-2 days for cleaning the bathroom when remodeling work is done.
